SEA UP Games Last updated: 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SEA UP Games ("SEA UP", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you:
- visit our website at seaupgames.com (the "Website");
- play any game we publish, now or in the future, on mobile, PC or any other platform (the "Games");
- take part in our tests, events, giveaways or community channels; or
- contact us for support.
Together, these are our "Services". By using the Services, you confirm that you have read this Privacy Policy. Where the law requires your consent, we will ask for it separately.
1. Who we are
SEA UP Games is a game publisher based in Indonesia. We publish games made by our development partners for players in Southeast Asia.
Data controller: SEA UP Games Email: hq@seaupgames.com
Each Game is developed by a development partner (the "Developer") who operates the game servers and game backend. For those Games, SEA UP and the Developer work together to provide the Game, and the Developer processes game data on our behalf and under our instructions, as described in this policy.
2. What data we collect
2.1 Data you give us
- Account details: player ID, nickname, and the login method you choose (guest account, Google, Apple or email). If you log in with Google or Apple, we receive the basic profile information that service shares with us (such as an account ID and email address). We never receive your password for those services.
- Test sign-ups: when you apply to test a Game, we collect your name, email address and the games you have played before. If the test runs through Google Play or Apple TestFlight, your email is used to add you to the official tester list.
- Support requests: your messages, screenshots and any details you share when you contact us through email, in-game support, Facebook, Discord or other channels.
- Surveys and feedback: your answers when you take part in a survey, interview or feedback group.
- Events and giveaways: the details needed to run an event and deliver prizes.
2.2 Data collected automatically when you play
- Device information: device model, operating system and version, language, time zone, screen size, IP address and approximate location (country or city level, based on IP), and device or advertising identifiers.
- Gameplay data: game progress, level, items, in-game currency balances, events joined, gift codes redeemed, in-game actions and session times.
- Technical and performance data: crash reports, error logs, loading times, network latency (ping), packet loss and disconnects. We use this to fix bugs, choose server locations and keep the Game stable.
- Purchase records: what you bought in the Game, when, and the transaction ID. Payments are processed by the app store or payment provider you use (for example Google Play, the Apple App Store, or an official top-up partner we name on our Website). We do not receive or store your card or bank details.
- Communications in the Game: if a Game has chat or other player messages, we may store and review them to keep the community safe and to handle reports.
2.3 Data collected on the Website
- Cookies and similar technologies: we use cookies to keep the Website working, to understand how visitors use it, and to measure our marketing (see Section 7).
- Forms: any information you enter in a form on the Website, such as a contact or sign-up form.
2.4 Data from third parties
- App stores: Google and Apple send us reports about installs, purchases, refunds and ratings.
- Login providers: basic profile information from Google or Apple when you choose to log in with them.
- Advertising and analytics partners: information about which ad or campaign led you to install a Game, and aggregated statistics.
- Social media: if you interact with our Facebook page, group or other social accounts, we see the information those platforms make public or share with page owners.

4. Who we share data with
We share personal data only as needed for the purposes above:
- Game Developers: the Developer of each Game operates its servers and backend and processes game data to run the Game for you.
- App stores, platforms and payment providers: for example Google (Google Play), Apple (App Store, TestFlight) and any official top-up partner, for downloads, testing, purchases and refunds.
- Service providers: companies that help us run the Services, such as cloud hosting, crash reporting, analytics, customer support tools, email and form services. These include Google Analytics, Google Firebase, and mobile measurement partners (MMPs), which help us see which ads or campaigns led to a Game being installed. We may add or change service providers as our Games and Services grow; every provider we use is bound by the obligations in this policy.
- Social media platforms: Meta (Facebook, Instagram), Discord, TikTok, YouTube or Reddit, when you interact with our pages or when we measure our campaigns there.
- Professional advisers: lawyers, accountants and auditors, under confidentiality.
- Authorities: when the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our players, our partners or the public.
- A buyer or successor: if SEA UP or a Game is sold, merged or transferred, your data may be transferred as part of that deal, and this policy will continue to protect it.
All service providers and Developers must keep your data secure and use it only for the purposes we set.
5. International data transfers
Our players are mainly in Southeast Asia, but some of the systems we use are located elsewhere. In particular:
- Game servers are operated by the Developer of each Game and may be located outside your country, for example in the People's Republic of China, Hong Kong or Singapore, depending on the Game.
- Cloud, analytics and store services may store data in other countries, including the United States.
When we transfer personal data outside your country, we make sure the transfer is allowed under the data protection law that applies to you, such as Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 27 of 2022), the Philippines Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012, Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010, Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) and Vietnam's personal data protection laws. We do this by using contracts that require the recipient to protect your data to an equivalent standard, by checking that the recipient has adequate security, and, where required, by asking for your consent.
6. How long we keep data
- Account and gameplay data: for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, or if your account is inactive and the Game closes, we delete or anonymise it within 90 days, except for data we must keep by law.
- Test data: test progress is usually wiped when the Game launches. Tester sign-up details are kept until the end of the test programme and for up to 12 months after it, so we can deliver tester rewards, and are then deleted.
- Purchase and financial records: for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
- Support messages: for up to 2 years after your request is closed.
- Website analytics: in line with the retention settings of the analytics tool, and no longer than 26 months.
7. Cookies and tracking on the Website
We use:
- Essential cookies to make the Website work. These cannot be turned off.
- Analytics cookies to see how visitors use the Website, so we can improve it.
- Marketing cookies and pixels (for example the Meta Pixel) to measure whether our posts and ads work.
Where required by law, we ask for your consent before setting analytics or marketing cookies. You can change your choice at any time in our cookie settings or in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Website works.
In the Games, you can reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings (Android: Settings > Privacy > Ads; iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking).
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
- be informed about how we use your data;
- access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy;
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your data, or your whole account;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent;
- object to or restrict some kinds of processing;
- receive your data in a common format and move it to another service (data portability);
- object to decisions made only by automated means; and
- complain to the data protection authority in your country.
To use any of these rights, or to delete your account, email hq@seaupgames.com or use the account deletion option inside the Game (usually under Settings or Account). Please include your player ID. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on a request. We will reply within the time the law requires, and in any case within 30 days.
You may also contact the data protection authority in your country, for example the National Privacy Commission in the Philippines, the Personal Data Protection Commission in Singapore, the Personal Data Protection Commissioner in Malaysia, the Personal Data Protection Committee in Thailand, or the authority responsible for personal data protection in Indonesia under Law No. 27 of 2022.
9. Children
Our Games are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
If you are under 18, or under the age of adulthood where you live, please use the Services only with the permission of a parent or guardian. Where the law requires it, we will ask for a parent's or guardian's consent before processing a child's personal data.
If you believe a child has given us personal data without the required consent, contact us at hq@seaupgames.com and we will delete it.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted connections, access controls, and limiting access to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee that data will never be accessed without permission.
If a data breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities within the time required by law.
11. Third-party services and links
The Website and the Games may contain links to third-party websites or services, such as app stores and social media. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. If the changes are significant, we will tell you in the Game, on the Website or by email before they take effect.
13. Contact us
